This Privacy Policy explains how PAIDEIA TOPCO LIMITED (“we”, “us”, or “the company”) handles information in connection with the Paideia Investment Advisory Android application (the “app”), available under the package name uk.co.paideiahold.capital.paideiaholdings.field.paideiacap.
The app is a local-first investment evidence reconciliation tool. It helps users compare materials they hold against an embedded expected evidence set and record whether each expected item is confirmed, missing, or uncertain, with local notes and attachments. The app does not provide investment advice, suitability decisions, legal opinions, valuations, approvals, recommendations, or regulatory outcomes.
Local App Data
The core workflow of the app is local to your Android device. The app stores the following types of information on your device: dossiers you save, expected-set selections and out-of-scope markings, evidence family and item statuses (confirmed, missing, or uncertain), reason tags for mismatch states, source notes and resolution notes, references to local files or images you choose to attach, last evidence date fields, local exports and shareable summary files generated locally, local preferences such as theme, date format, and default export format, and tutorial reset state.
This local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer as part of the core workflow. The app does not require login or account registration, and it does not use cloud synchronisation or backend storage. Your working data remains on your device unless you choose to export, copy, or share it.
On-Device Storage and Optional Photos
The information described above is stored locally on your device. If you choose to add optional local photos or image attachments to a dossier, those items are also stored as local app content on the device. They are not automatically uploaded to the developer or to any cloud service.
The app does not access your camera or gallery unless you select a file or image to attach, using the standard Android file-picking mechanisms.
User-Initiated Actions and External Services
The app may open external Android services when you choose to use them. For example, you may open a browser to visit a website, use an email client to compose a message, or open a maps application. These actions are always initiated by you and are not automatic.
The app also allows you to export, copy, or share locally generated summary files through Android system actions. This occurs only when you initiate it. External services, including browsers, email clients, maps, and share targets, operate under their own privacy practices, which are beyond our control.
What the App Does Not Include
The app does not require login or account registration, does not use cloud synchronisation, and does not provide payment or subscription functionality or any other monetisation features.
Local Content vs Developer Collection
The information you enter or attach in the app is local content. It may contain personal information if you choose to include it, for example in notes or attachments. The app does not require personal identity information for its core workflow, and this local content is not automatically transmitted to the developer.
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the contents of your message, and we may use that information to respond to your inquiry. That correspondence is separate from the app's workflow data.
Use Limits
The outputs of the app are based on your own entries and are provided for informational and practical review purposes only. They are not a substitute for formal professional, legal, regulatory, safety, or certification processes. The app does not provide investment, legal, financial, insurance, or regulatory advice, and does not certify the completeness or suitability of any materials.
Data Retention
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it, clear local app data through Android settings, or uninstall the application. You can delete individual dossiers or clear all local data from within the app. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect any information we handle. However, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your own device and any files you export or share.
Your Rights
If you are in the UK or the EEA, you may have rights under applicable data protection legislation, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to restrict processing, where applicable under law. Because the app stores data locally, you can manage or delete most data directly on your device or by uninstalling the app.
Children's Privacy
The app is intended for users aged 13 and above and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete the information or address the situation.
